Safety and quality
At Little Guests, the safety, health, and development of children are paramount. Every day, parents entrust us with the care of their child. We take that trust seriously. That is why we work according to clear procedures, legal guidelines, and high quality standards to provide a safe, secure, and stimulating environment in which children can develop to their full potential.
A strong foundation for development
From expert pedagogical professionals and safe environments to continuous quality checks and clear working methods, everything is geared towards providing children with an environment where they feel safe, can discover with joy, and can develop at their own pace. This way, we give parents the assurance every day that their child is in good hands.

Access and security
The safety of our site begins with controlled access. Only authorised persons have access to the premises via personal access passes.
In addition, Little Guests has an intercom system with a camera, and access is actively managed by our Family Care Manager. The outdoor area is also equipped with CCTV, ensuring children, parents, and staff are in a safe environment.
Four-eyes principle
At Little Guests, we work according to the legally required four-eyes principle. This means that educational professionals always carry out their work in such a way that they can be seen or heard by another adult.
This procedure contributes to an open, transparent and safe environment where children feel protected and employees can carry out their work with confidence.
First aid and Emergency Response
Our pedagogical professionals receive annual training in first aid and company emergency response (BHV). This ensures they have up-to-date knowledge and skills to act quickly and appropriately in the event of an emergency.
This ensures that children can play, discover, and develop daily in an environment where safety is always paramount.

Quality in everything we do
At Little Guests, quality is not just in our childcare, but in everything we do. From the expertise of our pedagogical professionals and the design of our spaces to our working methods, safety, and personal attention for every child.
We continuously invest in the development of our employees, work according to clear quality and safety guidelines, and regularly evaluate our services. In addition, our locations and working methods are audited by independent bodies such as the GGD.
Qualified professionals
Our pedagogical professionals hold the required qualifications and regularly participate in training and further education. This ensures they stay up-to-date with current insights in the fields of pedagogy, development, and safety.
This way, they can offer children the guidance, attention and support every day that is appropriate for their age and developmental stage. In addition, we continuously invest in the professional development of our team, so that quality and expertise always remain central.
Declaration of Conduct Statement
All Little Guests employees hold a valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and are continuously screened in accordance with legal guidelines.
External professionals and suppliers who are regularly present on our premises also meet these requirements. This is how we ensure a safe, reliable, and professional environment for children and parents. This screening contributes to the trust that parents place in our organisation daily.
Staff-child ratio
We work according to the legal staff-to-child ratio (BKR). This means that there are always enough educational professionals present to give children the attention, guidance, and supervision they need.
- 0 to 1 year 1 member of staff per 3 children
- 1 to 2 years 1 member of staff per 5 children
- 2 to 4 years 1 member of staff per 8 children
- 4 years and over 1 member of staff per 10 children
Healthy and safe spaces
Our group rooms, play equipment, and outdoor areas are regularly checked for safety, hygiene, and quality. In addition, we systematically carry out risk assessments relating to safety and health. This is how we create an environment in which children can play, discover, and develop freely within clear and safe boundaries.
Oversight and inspections
Little Guests is supervised by the GGD Haaglanden (Community Health Service The Hague). Regular inspections are carried out, looking at aspects such as safety, health, pedagogical quality, and compliance with laws and regulations. These independent checks help us to continuously monitor, further improve, and maintain our quality at a high level.
